Excellence in Communtiy Involvement and Fellowship

Jim, Vance Daigle and Coach Musso

Jim, his wife Mary and Grandson Caleb

Jim  has been a mighty bruin since 1977 where he played varsity football as a freshman thru

his senior year. After graduating, Jim went to Southwestern Louisiana University where he

Graduated in business and excelled on the football field all four years at all offensive lineman

positions. Since graduating in 1984, he has opened and operated Ole Tyme Body Shop in the

Kenner area and is well known for working on vehicles in the trucking industry.

He has been a true friend and humble leader in the community where he lives. He has been the

president of  the Bonnabel F.C.A. alumni for the past 18 years and has a major part in helping

people in this community. He has helped hold this organization together, year after year. He and

his father “Pops” have attended and coordinated meetings, fund raisers, breakfasts socials,

Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas family donations and all sorts of giving events. He has worked

with the Special Olympics for many years. Jim has always been a person who you can count on for

help, friendship, leadership and is a person who will tell the truth at any cost. His wife Mary, a

teacher at Bonnabel High School, has involved him in many organizations and field trips with

school where he has helped chaperone students and mentor along the way.

All of this, if you would ask him, comes from the fellowship and examples he has learned while

playing football at Bonnabel High School.  His love for the game and his huge heart for the less

fortunate makes him a clear leader in excellence.
